Arlene Ramphal is President and CEO of ARLO Group. In her last position at a regional brokerage firm, Arlene aided the development and management of best practices in the employee benefits department. As senior consultant overseeing health and welfare employee benefits programs, Arlene worked with small to medium-sized employers on a wide range of healthcare and group benefits issues.
Because of her caring, client-centric nature, and belief in the value of relationships and quality service, and that companies are living, breathing, thinking people, with different cultures and beliefs, Arlene saw an opportunity to provide custom-made solutions for her clients without the unnecessary internal roadblocks of larger brokerage companies. Her clients value and trust her judgment in all their health and welfare decision making processes. With this in mind, ARLO was created.
Arlene’s experience spans over 19 years working with various industries on all aspects of client programs, including: strategic benefit planning and wellness improvement programs for groups and individuals, benefit plan cost analyses, financial projections, plan placement, employee cost-sharing strategies, competitive plan benchmarking, healthcare reform and benefit plan compliance issues, plan design, funding strategies, underwriting, RFP/marketing, carrier negotiation for new and renewing business – all lines of coverage, administration of group health benefits, employee communication and education, voluntary programs, retirement programs and executive benefits.
Arlene’s career in Employee Benefits and Human Resources began as a Professional with a Fortune 500 corporate employer in New York City. Her background in both the employer side and brokerage side provides her with the insight and strong knowledge base to apply when helping employer groups determine the best course of action for their insurance program.
